Netflix or Blockbuster Online?
Decided to stop buying DVD's and go with a dvd service like Netflix or Blockbuster.
Does anyone have any personal experience or preferences between the two, good and bad experiences, etc? Trying to decide... Thanks!

I have Blockbuster. I like it a lot. I can take my "online" movies into the store and pick up some from the store for free(just like you rented them you can get late fee if you do not return them on Time) The store checks my "online" movie in and I get new one shipped out the next day.
So if you have a store close to you then that would be the best deal. If not I would go with netflix then. Got a buddy that uses them and they come real fast. He puts his old movies in the mail on mon and fri by the latest his new ones are there. |

Ok let me try this again.
There are not late fee for the "online" move rentals. You pay XXXX per month for XXX movie to have out at one time. So you get them in the mail and watch them and mail them back no late fee. Or you can get them in the mail and then take it to one of the stores and get a fee rental from the store and they will check your online movie in and mall it back for you(this gets your next online movie faster b/c you do not have to wait for the online store to get the movie back) Now if you do not return the Store's movie back in 5 or 7 days then you can get a later fee on it but that does not have anything to do with your online account. Hope that clears it up. I am not so great at writing lol ;) |

We have netflix. It is nice that we do not have to go to the store. And we can watch many movies online on the lap top or hook it to the TV and watch movies straight from their website. But the movie player will not work on Firefox.

Netflix. I had Blockbluster for about 3 minutes and got 3 bad DVD's at once and I started getting a lot more junk mail. I would also get double charged.
I switched to netflix and no issues. Had them for 5 months and only had 1 bad DVD so far. |

I had Netflix for several years , very quick turn around and very little problems. On line movie watching was cool , but no newer movies to choose from , You got one online movie per dollar your monthly fee was . Mine was $14 +- a month, so I could watch 14 movies online a month plus rent three at a time with no limit. I will renew some day but for now I just don't watch enough TV or Movies to keep paying.

I've got netflix after my sister recommended it. She's had it for about a year or so and neither of us have had any issues with it yet. Our last movie was mailed back on Fri. and got the next one today. It's also nice having the ability to watch movies online. Just a free perk to getting the service. Computer hooks to the HDtv and not a single problem watching. For $8.99 get one movie at a time unlimited per month and unlimited movies online.
