Exclamation question on yj's

hey all i got a question about yj's springs. I bought some the other day and i noticed that the thickness of the steel is different fromt eh one have now and the ones I bought. The thicker one seem to 1/4 - 1/2 ". Were there different ones for different years or was it a cj and yj difference? length is the same but the steel thickness for sure different...

Top is the thicker one.

If I remeber right, cj springs are 2 inches wide and yjs are 21/2 inches. Its possile the thicker ones are from a hard top but I think hard tops were the same thickness just an extra leaf. I would guess someone had those springs made at spring shop.
