2006 Polaris Sportsman 800 efi 4x4 ATV $2999
2006 Polaris Sportsman 800 efi 4x4.
Clear Title, New 26" Swamp Lite Tires, New Battery Previous owner paid $4200 plus tax from a dealer last year. He replaced the belt and put brand new tires on it. I bought it for a good price with two intentions: Either resell it quickly and make a few hundred bucks off of it, or keep it. The battery was dead when I bought it. I bought a new AGM $140 (400 cranking amp) battery on the way home from buying it. I have the receipt. Starts instantly, runs and sounds great. Previous owner said that it did not go into 2wd, it was in 4x4 mode all the time, however I have been able to get it to operate in both 2wd and 4wd. Since this problem is intermittent, I have been told by people familiar with these quads that the front diif oil likely needs chaged--when it gets dirty the magnetic parts in the front diff will stick. Google "Polaris Sportsman differential oil" if you need more info. Minor issues: --The plastic gear shifter knob and the seat have tape on them --The belt may need shimmed/adjusted as it is sometimes difficult shift from drive to reverse with the engine running. ---One front headlight needs a bulb. Positives: The instrument cluster works. The brakes are good. The steering is good. The CV's don't make noise. This only has 1600+ miles and 600+ hours on it--see pictures. The tires are new and the tread is deeper than a US Quarter--see pictures. The racks are in great shape and not broken. The handlebars are not bent. This quad is definitely not mint, but it is nicer than most of this age. I have owned several quads ranging from cheap $500 units to brand new $10,000 units. This is a very good quad for the price. It should be noted that I received a couple emails asking "Why is the check engine light on in the pics of the instrument cluster?" It was on because those two pictures were taken with the key on and the engine off. When running, the check engine light is NOT on. I have given an accurate description of this. I am not into wasting people's time. Please do not waste mine. The price is 100% firm. If you want a brand new fuel injected 800cc 4x4 ATV free of any flaws, take your $10,000 to the dealer and buy one. If you want a very good deal on a used one for $2999, contact me. Retail price for this ATV is in average condition is $4200 (NADA) or $4600 (KBB). This quad has $500 worth of brand new tires and a $140 brand new battery that most average quads of this age will not have. If you do not have $2999 cash, you will not buy this quad. If you show up and offer $2975, you have wasted your fuel. $2999 is a very good price, and I will not budge. No trades of any kind. I will not hold the quad without a deposit. He who shows up first with the $$ will own it. Cash only. I'm not being rude, I'm being up front. All pictures were taken on 12-3-2013.
