You keep moving right along,
Looks like good work,
So when do you think it will be up and running for its first outing ?

I’m hoping we can have it ready by dirty turtle run. If not then, then Badlands will be the target.

What did you decide to do with the frame, powder coat or rattle can?

Leaning towards powder coating it. This wouldn't be until end of May and into June because that's a month we don't really have anything going on.

So you plan on wheeling it bare metal till June? End of may is Harlan trip.

Yes that will be the plan. After it's fully built, I have to recoup some money. Or I could use my tax return to get it done....

Yesterday was a little slow.. I ended up mounting my twin sticks after modifying the sleeve. I'll post some pics later.

Today should be a good day to get some things done. Hoping to the windage tray and oil pan mounted, work on mounting my floor boards, cutting out the center console and dash components for the gauges, and mounting the grill.

Over this past weekend, we got the bumper started, added a tray for the winch to sit on, mounted the battery box, made new upper rear 4 links (old ones were too short), lined up the axles by adjusting the links. I also mounted the grill on Saturday and adjusted the windage tray.

Ken Garcia came up this weekend and picked up my Radiator/water pump to weld on the AN fittings for the coolant lines. He also is going to make me a two piece driveshaft out of my old driveshafts. Should have that done soon. Once that gets back to me, I’m hoping all we have left to do is the rebuild on the trans with Kevin.

Went out to the garage for a few hours tonight. Ended up working on the toggle switches and started cutting out my template for the main dash area.

Tomorrow we will drop the engine and trans back out of the buggy. Then separate the trans and start tearing it apart for the rebuild, may be able to have it fully rebuilt by Thursday night.

Last weekend, Kevin came over and helped/taught me how to reassembled the TH400. Now waiting on the new oil pan to come in in order to fill it up with tranny fluid.

I also worked on my floor panels again and mounted my winch.

It’s been a minute since I’ve posted... so here’s what has happened as of late: started my wiring or the toggle switches, dash panel and gauges. Made a mounting bracket for my computer. After that I worked on running some trans cooler lines and fuel lines. I also upgraded to circle coils, instead of the squares ones. Got those at the junkyard for $32. I also got new Taylor spark plug wires (10.4mm thickness).

Ended up charging the ORI’s late last night. Got tired of knowing that they weren’t charged and figured it would be bad for the internal seals while moving it up and down on the lift.

Today, I’ll be receiving my radiator and front driveshaft back from Ken Garcia.

Other than that I’m waiting for another fuel line fitting to arrive on Tuesday in order to fire up the motor.

It's looking like I will have the Buggy done in March, and more than likely be ready by April for Badlands

One of the last things I’ll do on the buggy is the doors. Here’s what I’m thinking on how to do the doors.

Got most of the inside driver panels done. Turned out great! Now let’s see if I can match it on the passenger side lol

Hoping to hear the motor run this weekend after we figure out the wiring issue.

Got the motor to fire up this past weekend, after finding out the crank position sensor wire was snapped! Which caused the motor to not fire up at first. Also did some looming, while my dad wired up the rear light bar, radiator fans, and rock lights.

Got some more panels done these past couple of days and got the rear driveshaft in.

Hoping to get the tune in the buggy this weekend and see if we have any error codes that need to be fixed.
