Exclamation Tellico In Risk Of Closure!!!

UNITED FOUR WHEEL DRIVE ASSOCIATION (FRIEND OF MINE ON MYSPACE)(www.ufwda.org) POSTED A BULLITEN ABOUT TELLICO IN RISK OF BEING SHUT DOWN. THE FOLLOWING IS HIS POST:
"Your help is needed to SAVE TELLICO!!!

Plan to ride Tellico April 5th 2008 (Saturday)
We will meet in Murphy at the SAVE-A-LOT
parking lot.
Bring your off road vehicles.
If not licensed leave on trailer.
The press will be there.
We will parade through Murphy to show them
how much revenue will be lost if Tellico Closes.
Then a day of Wheelin!
RSVP to: Helen Davis
tellicocabins@yahoo.com
please help we need every body"
I ALSO SENT AN EMAIL TO TELLICOCABINS TO SEE IF IT IS TELLICO TN AND THIS IS THE RESPONCE I GOT THIS MORNING:
"Hi Jon
Yes, it is Tellico. Most of Tellico Trails are on NC side, however you can access either by Tellico Plains of Murphy NC. Our event will be on the NC side.
Environmentalist along with other groups such as Trout unlimited want
Tellico closed, they say the trails cause sediment in the Tellico river killing trout and water quality.
You can read the articles as they came out at www.sfwda.org
Hope you can make it. We are working out the details now.
also try www.pirate 4x4.com and go to the bulletin.
Helen & Chuck"
IM GOING TO TRY AND GO DOWN. ANYONE ELSE INTERESTED GET WITH ME AROUND MARCH AND WE'LL TRY TO PLAN SOMETHING OUT. COME OUT AND HELP FIGHT FOR WHATS LEFT.

I knew some trails had closed and feared that it would probably end up like livingston. Seems that when one new place opens 2 close down!
