Carwash or anyone....motor mount question

Does anyone on here make some universal weld in motor mounts for a Chevy 350? I'm putting in a 350 in my 88 Toyota, and need some weld in style motor mounts. Something with a poly bushing. I was planning on fabing them myself, but if I can get a set thats inexpensive, it might be easier to just buy them.

Anyone out there make something INEXPENSIVE?

Something like this...

these are from M.O.R.E. and are $97 a pair (way too expensive) and only 3/16" thick.

these are from DIY4x and are intended to mount a small block in a chevy as a strength upgrade.

and for all of that, he is just $85 a pair, and it comes with the greasable bolt and all. They are .25" all around, even the wall of the sleeve. So forget about the MORE ones.

what i did was call Kert at diy4x and tell him all i wanted was the stock chevy mounts, the poly sleeve with bushing and the greasable bolt, and i think he only charged me like $50 for the pair.

Here is his site page where they are...

http://www.diy4x.com/engine.htm

I then made my own bracketry to come off the chassis to the mount at the motor, let me find some pics.

those are what he sent me, and here is what i did with them...

Hope that helps a little.

Nice...thanks Carwash. I think I'll get the DIY4x mounts and then just fab up some legs to go to the frame. I've got some 2" square tube left over and some plate, so I'll mount the square tube to the mounts and then use the plate at the frame end and weld it all together.

edit...I just got off the phone with Kurt...the mounts are on their way!

I got the mounts today. They look good. Kurt said he doesnt normally sell a greaseable bolt with the mounts. Oh well, I'll just use the regular grade 8 bolts.

I guess I diddn't realize they diddn't come with the tube for the bushings to mount in. What size are they? Do you have any leftover of the tube you used? Would you sell a foot or so? Thanks!

yes, no need for a greasable bolt in a motor mount, that's just retarded. mine are there cuz it was laying on the bench. will be replace when it is all put back together.

wait, you didnt get the metal sleeve? i got everything in the pic i posted where they are laying on the table. Call kert back, you should definitely have tubing to put the bushings in. If not, then yes i have some, it's either 2" .250 wall or 1.75" .250 wall.

Let me know.

Well....the parts never showed up.
