shackle reversal

i have a 87 grand wagoneer with a soa front lift. have any of you jeep owners ever done a shackle reversal? i keep bending main springs and have also just recently broke some springs. what all do i need to do? any help would be great, thanks.

I did it to my CJ. The bigest problem I ran into was that I needed more spline on my drive shaft. I keep pulling mine apart, Untill I made my own out of square tubing so it would have enought travel.

Also you if you do the shackle reversal you might need to move the axle forward so when then axle moves back your tires do not hit your fire wall.

A long slip joint on the front drive shaft is a must.
