I think Tractor Supply sells winch cable, but I don't know anything about the strength of it. Why don't you just get Viking or something like that online?

How much you looking to spend I have 94' of brand new cable wrapped on my christmas present and I have been wanting rope. I just know it wouldnt make my wife really happy if i strpped the wire off the brand new winch before I mounted it but if I had a reason for it let me know.

It has been a few years since I replaced mine, it was like 75 bucks for 150 foot for my 8274 from Warn.

Get rid of that little 4 banger and get a heavier foot. Problem solved.
