How bad could it be to drive there, wheel, drive back?
There are about four months to get spares ready.

Well that depends on how brave you get. You can wheel the whole weekend and have a blast, but unless you bring spares for everything, stay off the higher rated trails. Beware of 4's and 5's.

i know coppertop has done it a few times... I also know a few yota guys that have drove there and coal creek and they beat on there trucks pretty good...

IMHO it's not that bad as long as u know your vehicle from top to bottom and are prepared to fix what ever you need to in order to get back home...

Honestly, I plan on going as mostly an observer. The great thing about Harlan is that there are bypasses for just about everything and there is tons of stuff to do and see just by driving around. Don't not go if you're afraid of breaking. Just use some common sense and you will do fine. I know that nobody in any group I run with will intentionally try to get your rig damaged, especially if your rig isn't built to handle something.

Yeah need to get Reservation in for this also...
Going to stay on the Everts side above gas station again!

Anyone else plan on doing the same. I put in for the whole week vacation so I have time to play around before going down or go down weds - sun of that week ..:) make it a big long trip...

Also something we love to do before we leave on Sunday is make a trip up to Helo pad ( trail 10?) and get a group rig picture... becoming a tradition now...
