I hear you bud.

Still waiting on the battery boxes to show up but I splurged a little on the fuel cell. New artec hold down brackets.

Passenger side.......what a mess. There is the fuse box-cruise control-a/c lines-hell there is even a battery temp sensor in the tray I have to figure out what to do with.

All the crap loose and out of the way

All fenders are reboxed and painted.

Pass side engine bay. I plan on a high amp junction box for the hot leads.

And some fun stuff begins

Started laying out the winch plate and how to mount it. All the exo cage will tie in at the bumper and stinger in front.

Also got all the steering lines made at a local shop. Great prices and good people. Eagle equipment in franklin.

That winch plate looks like it sits kinda low but i guess your rig sits a lot higher than mine. My winch plate will be even with the top of the bumper cover to maintain as much approach angle as possible. I might have it mounted by June if I'm lucky......

Still a real good looking build, hope we can get the twins together sometime this year?

The way I plated the frame in front the plate sits even with the bottom of the frame. I originally did it that way so the radiator wouldn't be blocked by the winch. I haven't committed to the winch mount yet. I am going to build the exo around it and see how it goes.

We will definitely get together for some ZJ wheeling. I hope to have it finished in June

Been a long time since an update. The wife got her new house and we close on thurs. So guess what stopped getting my time. Yep the build. With that being said.

Got the fuel cell mounted and plumbed for the most part. Had to wait on the sending unit fitting for 3 weeks.

Also decided to go all stainless braided for the brake lines from the valve to the axle side t. A lot easier to run.

I doubt it once I get all that stuff done I have shocks and drive shafts before it will be mobile at the bare minimum. So I wish chicken fry. Snow ball run will probably be a stretch. But if it's done, full interior with heated seats will definitely be an upgrade from the open cj5. Hahaha

Made a really big dent in the list. This weekend. Hydro lines ran and mounted. Fuel line finished and mounted. Brake lines ran and secured from prop valve to axle T.

Also got the headlights put on. The old headlight grill support was broken and when I took it off to mount the cooler it broke in half.

If I don't say so it is looking good and like a jeep again. I feel better just having the grill and lights on

Went with running the battery cables from rear cargo area to engine bar thru frame. Ran two 1/0 wires sleeved in 5/8 heater hose

Unknown pain in the a$$ job this became. The unibody and dog house were two separate pieces. Had to cut an access hole in floor and cut away some metal so we could feed it from one to the other.

Flipped back up part of the cut out. Will cover with a piece of sheet metal and rtv

Where the lines came up in cargo area

Engine bay wired up. Extra wire ran for future 2nd battery

Thanks. I thought it was worth it overall. It made it look cleaner and more finished. Way better than some straps that I would have made. Haha
