Grand Cherokee Transfer Case

Warf90 Tim Join Date: Sep 2010 Location: Eastgate Posts: 11	Grand Cherokee Transfer Case I picked up a 94 Grand Cherokee, it has a full time 4 x 4 transfer case in it. Is a 231 a direct replacement for this transfer case? I looked at the tag on it and I think it says a 249. I thought these were a 242?
