TURN KEY! CJ 7, 101” WB, Rock Crawler, 1 Ton, Lockers, Fuel Injected, 38” Swampers, Bead Locks, Well Maintained with Routine Maintenance, This is a solid and proven one owner purpose built trail that is also very road mannerly. Title in hand bring cash and take it to the trail today!!
1978 Jeep CJ-7 with 34,000 original miles, I have proudly owned and built this rig for over 13 years.
Engine: Fuel Injected 258ci 4.2L I-6 original motor to the Jeep, professionally rebuild 12 years ago with 9000 miles on the rebuild. Bored over .030, Mild Crane Cam (peaking at low-mid RPM range). Throttle Body Injection (TBI) from a 1988 GMC V-6. The ENTIRE system and came from one donor vehicle. All parts are stock and can be bought anywhere and can be worked on just like any 1988 GMC. This system has performed flawlessly since installed 5 years ago. These are well documented conversions for this motor.
Engine accessories: Mopar dual roller timing chain, Clifford intake, Davis Unified Ignition HEI high performance distributor (GM style), K&N air filter, Optima Yellow top, Headman dual out headers and true dual exhaust with polished Magnaflow mufflers. This sounds like no other 6cyl you have ever heard! Nobody believes me until I open the hood!
Transmission / Transfer case: T-176 & Center Force clutch / Dana 300 & Currie Twin stick. Both fully rebuilt at time of install.
Drive shafts and pinion angles were professionally set up and differentials were set accordingly to ensure long u-joint life.
Rear Axle : GM Corp 14 bolt full float (full width), stock GM 5.13 gears, Yukon Gear Mini spool, Axle tubes professionally TIG welded to the differential, Thick Diff cover , Disc brake conversion
Front Axle : GM Dana 60 (full width) 5:13 Yukon Gears. Lock Right, “Solid” diff cover, Disc brakes, Warn & Superwinch Lock outs.
Suspension: Spring over axle, converted to all YJ springs with 7” spring perches, Front Bilstein (14”) and Rear Rancho (10”) shocks. Rear traction bar with cross member.
Wheels/Tires: Military Hummer 8-bolt rims, rock rings, dual internal bead locks (magnesium), 38”x12.5” R16.5 Super Swamper SX TSL with at least ¾ tread left. No dry rot cracks.
Hydro Assist Steering: PSC Hi flow pump, Alum reservoir, original CJ steering gear rebuilt, PSC cylinder, WFO Concepts High steer arms w/reverse tie rod, ¼” wall DOM Tie rod & Drag links, 1 ton GM tie rod ends.
Interior: Full Roll Cage made from 1 3/4” DOM, Corbeau Baja SS suspension seats, RJS 4pt harness, CJ rear seat , All gauges work, Wiring is all very clean under the dash. Some rust holes in the tub floor front and rear.
Exterior: Warn M8000 (used maybe 5 times), front bumper 2”x 4”x ¼” wall w/ 2 tow pts, rocker guards, Rear bumper 4” channel w/ 2 tow points and 2” receiver. Poly fuel tank centered. Besttop “Super Top“ Black soft top (small hole in the top) with 2 piece soft doors, all new hardware. I bought it new and was used very little.

Tons of spare parts all to be included in the sale. Dana 60 front shafts, Drive shafts, Lock outs, steering shaft. Delivery can be arranged inside of a reasonable distance.
