I'll be there with 3 other rigs. We usually camp in the mountain somewhere.

Is anyone familiar with White tail campground? The Southern Shine was held there. After killing my rear axle and front driveshaft on railbed, we never made it to White tail. Was curious what the campground offered.

It's primitive camping, in a flat area, at the top of the right fork mountain. An open field would describe it best. Pretty good place to camp, this time of year when some sunlight is welcome for heat. There is crawling close by in the playground areas at white tail.

Thanks for the info. I'll have to check it out this time around. Hopefully I will stay together and not have to cruise around all weekend with only front wheel drive like I did last time. That will teach me to dive off cliffs.

Be carful. We were there Memorial weekend and a Rattler slithered through the people and rigs like he owned the place, totaly fearless. He tried crawling up under a trailer into the fenderwell right where we were standing. Would hate to share my sleeping bag with one of them.

Sure, it is downtown Harlan right beside hwy 421. It's about 10 miles to the Evarts trailhead and also about 10 miles to the Putney trailhead.
