Plated UTV
I passed a blue UTV I think it was a Rhino, going west on symmes road in fairfield with Ohio plates clearly light on the front and back. It had 4 seats and was going at a pretty good clip. If I wasn't in awe of seeing it I would have pulled him over to talk to him.
How did he get it plated, I thought it was still illegal in ohio? Paul |

It is being done in other states, but that is the first I have heard of one in Ohio.

It's fairly common to see golf carts converted to being street legal around Ohio. I've never seen an UTV but if you can convert a golf cart I guess there is no reason you couldn't do an UTV.
There is a small town close to where I grew up there are quite a few golf carts that buzz around, and there are usually several parked by local bar. |

There is a state code that allows this but I believe it limits the speed to 35 mph . I'd look it up if I could find my desk under all the other crap I got going on. It was brought up this past week end during the Trenton garage sales.
