transmission question

I'm about to put a 350 in my 87 yota and wanted opinions on buying the adapter and using the yota trans or getting a 4 speed manual chevy trans
Do you think the yota trans will hold up to the 350 or a waste of money to buy the adapter and just go with chevy trans and transfer case thanks for any inputs david

I wouldn't run anything Yota inline with the 350. I had a 80 toy with a 307 and a turbo 400 and it would kill the ring gear if I got any wheel hop. Broke 5 gears before I got rid of it. So I would say the rest of the Jap steel would do the same. Not sure the clutch would hold up either.

I'll second that , yota stuff if good when your only pushing double digit HP/TQ numbers . When you get in to triple digits you'll start breaking everything.
