s10 wont start unless i use starting fluid

I just got a 93 s10 4 cly 5 speed for a real good price. It has new wires plugs fuel filter injector. It will not start on its own unless I spray starting fluid in it but then it will fire rite up and run all day. Once I shut it off I have to spray it to start it again. I was thinking fuel pump but I thought if the pump was bad it wouldn't run once I got it started. Any ideas?

pump might not enough pressure to start it, check fuel pressure with gauge

X2 on the pressure reg. It is bad causing the pressure to bleed off when the truck is not running. It should start without starting fluid if you crank it long enough.
