Question Is this ring gear trash?

Pulled the cover off of a 14 Bolt FF axle and found this on the ring gear . Since there's some pitting I assume it's officially junk, but I wanted to see if anyone has run gears that look like this with any luck.

If the bearings are ok then I'd run um ...not even think twice on a trail rig but I'd keep and eye on them on the street. Sometimes pits are a good starting point for cracks.
