Nope! It's the new box frame we are making. The old CJ7 frame was cracked and rusting out.

Update on Chassis
Picked up ALL the steel today from Industrial Tube and Steel. highly recommend them. I called 2 other steel places and tubing is over $7 per foot for 1.75x120 wall. They sold it to me for $3.67!
Brody is bringing me I-Beams for a Jig I am going to build for frames and then we will be off to the races!

That is a good price. Did you call Hirschberg Steel? It was $3.85 per foot with tax when I bought all that tube. A lot of places rip off the public.

Nice! I like it...
Looking at the S-curves at the rear of the box frame, are those needed for clearance? Or to mount something? They might be simpler and stronger if you just bent one 45 and straight down to the crossmember...

If your planning on a future rear seat, push those s curves back as far as rear upper link clearance will allow. Mine has similar curves and when I put rear floor in for kids it kind of screwed them for footwell. Livable but not great.

That may be an adjustment we make once we get started on the rear section of the chassis.

Oh major upgrade here! ATLAS T CASE!
She’s a little old. From what we are told it’s never been installed. Atlas is either a late 90’s model or early 2000’s Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Is that a 3.8:1 low range version (looks like a 3.8 written on it)? Should work pretty good with the TH400. I was thinking originally that if you went with the TH400 but kept the NP205 you may not be happy because that combo gives pretty crappy low range ratio.

My dad is going down to get it this Sunday since it's located in Georgia and he's traveling to New Orleans for work. He is also buying another TH400 with a reverse valve body. So we have an extra TH400 in the garage now that needs to be sold. Plus I'm selling my old 205 and the 203 I just got.

Decent amount of progress made today! Got both axles put together (4links and 14 bolt gears). We also made the base of the frame, thanks to my dad Jeffrey Smith and his skills with the plasma cutter!

Some goodies arrived today. Got my brake pedals and brake master cylinders. This allows me to have independent brakes!

While I’ve been doing college essays all week (stupid last semester) my dad decided to work on the frame. He got a lot done! Looks very good!
