Nothing like waiting to the last second to put the rig back together. Finally thought I had everything to finish putting the axle back in last night and one of the last things was putting the calipers back on. Did the passenger side and then went to do the drivers side....picked up the wedge and little allen head bolt that retains the caliper on the D60 but couldn't find the spring thingy anywhere that goes between the wedge and caliper Not sure what happened to it. Fortunately Advance Auto has one in stock....at it shows it on the webpage so went ahead and bought it.

Awesome time out at Miami Valley, thanks for the invite, could not ask for a better day to get out with good people and enjoy some great Wheeling with some good food. Took some pics, I will post up as many as I can as I get time.

Cut boggers and big horsepower are the hot setup here. There is a lot of mud but it's not really a mud bog.....the tough obstacles are all steep hill climbs that are rutted out and greasy. Kind of a nice change from a lot of trails as it is just hold your foot to the floor.
The 5.3 in Kevin's rig definitely sounded good and you wouldn't think it was a "stock" small block, even if it wasn't running 100%. The hill in the video above was pretty tough. I only saw a couple rigs make it and none on the first try, including a high dollar tube buggy with 43's and big power that took several tries. |
