putting a 79 ford HP 60 under the front, using a later model GM drivers drop 241 in place of my current pass. drop 241. From what i have read, there should be no clearance issues from changing to drivers drop, so we are gonna find out.
That's the same setup I have under mine. I have a flat skid plate from rail to rail under the transfer case. Not sure how tall your frame rails are compared to mine. It makes for a nice flat underbody. The 700R4 and the 241 make for a good low crawl ratio for a stock setup. Mine crawls good with 5:38's. Hope to see you out wheelin soon.

i have the SM465, so first is Really low already even with the stock 3.08s in the 10 bolts, but the tons have 4.10's in them. not idea for a 37-38" tire, but much better than the 3.08s for sure.

with my passenger drop case, i clocked it up already to give me a flat under side, gonna have to see where the driver drop case is gonna hang, but hopefully i can clock it up to give me a flat underside as well.

on its own weight. shocks, brake lines, transfer case and steering is all that is keeping me from driving it. that, and lack of decent tires. front swap went much smoother than the rear.

a few more recent pics of it

bed sides will be going back on, something like this

its not done, but the main portion is. have more bracing to do still, adding a couple more frame tie in as well, as i don't like having the supports solely on my sliders.

While i assure you it is not the best designed cage out there, i feel confident in its structural integrity to withstand a roll.

I do plan on adding more to it this winter. finishing out the front, as well as add some more bracing to it.

been a bit of work since last time i updated this.

Bead locks, bumper, Anti wrap bar, and Custom exhaust from head to Tip

old headers did not like the HP ford axle up front

built some headers (no pics), but did something i had never seen done before, and built my own chambered mufflers.

baffles

and a sound clip.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gF9POm_doqQ

bumper

and bead locks. went to the Badlands and had a big issue spinning the wheels inside the tires when under strain and thus far, the beadlocks seemed to have solved this issue.
