Rocked to the CORE Tour 11/6 & 11/7
Rocked to the CORE Tour will run Haspin Acres in Laurel IN on Sat 11/6 travelling to Big Rock Offroad Park in Maysville KY that evening to camp, then spend all day Sun 11/7 at Big Rock.
Few have mentioned camping Friday night at Haspin, that's up to each person. Trailering rigs is allowed Saturday 11/6 @ Haspin Acres http://www.haspinacres.com/ Plan to arrive by 8am to be able to join up with a group. Registration will be the normal process. Cost is $16 per person. If this is your first time and you don't have their liability card for 2010: you will need to sign waivers and cost will be an additional $1. A group will be somewhere in the parking lot with the CORE Banner -- look for us We have no 'formal' runs planned at either park. Just get with a group and run what you want to. It's about a 2 1/2 hr run from Haspin to Big Rock. Thought is to get ready to leave from Haspin by 5p (or 4pm if you want time to set up camp there). Foodwise/Dinner it's up to each person on how you'll handle (I've heard some say they plan on grilling once they set up camp at Big Rock). Primitive camping is no charge there, if you want electric we will need to see about cost so PM me. Sunday 11/7 @ Big Rock Offroad Park http://www.bigrockoffroadpark.com/articles/home.asp Big Rock is offering us a group rate of $15 per rig (passengers are no charge but will need to sign the waiver) Gates open at 9a, registration will be the normal process. Once again, no formal runs but someone has GPS the park and it works with Google Earth so you can get a copy of the trails. There's a link on CORE for it, if you're interested. I will have some stickers printed up in both white and black text available. Questions? Let me know. See everyone there!!

Technically the event dictates camping, but we've pretty much made this our own event anyway. Next year's event(s) I hope to have more friendly camping weather. I plan on camping (read: girl). Though if it rains, all bets are off.

Sounds like fun. I'm still trying to shake the chill from camping at Harlan last weekend. I wouldn't make a good homeless person. It was cold in the mountain. Between freezing and the thoughtful guys camping down from us blaring this siren at 3am right next to us, we didn't sleep hardly at all. We looked like zombies all weekend.
