You can't go wrong with Dirty 30's. Just keep in mind the hub gears will be the next weak link, if a hub gear fails it can wipe out the splines on the hub end. Do it right and break down and get Chromoly inner & outer hub gears along with ARP Hub studs. Then the worries are over..... Unless you break the R&P... Lol...

Right now I'm running trail gear r&p Yukon Cromo shafts inner and outer with super joints trail gear crawler hubs and trail gear crawler hub flanges ohh and a Aussie locker....... I just didn't know if the birfield type joint was better that a u joint type.... The longfields look way stronger that the super joint IMO

cv axle stronger at lock cause dont bind like u-joints, id go spool instead locker though if not a driver, lockers fail if beat on hard every trip, but last long time for average trail rider

Fixed it for you.
When the unjoints fail, they tend to take the knuckle ball with them. I have asset for spares only bc they came in mine when I bought them. Sucks to replace the knuckle ball. I've done it once on mine (hence the reason they are now my spares). Can't go wrong with longs.

Sell the yota axles and take whatever you get for them and whatever you were gonna dump into them and buy a set of 1 tons. Building yotas is just putting off the inevitable and wasting time and money.

Depends on the person and their wheeling style... I had yotas on 38s with rear link... Put the good parts in em And never had a problem and beat the piss out of em... Gotta keep things proportional ... Tons start a snowball of $$ once u include the cost of 42"- up tires to account for lack of ground clearance.. Built yotas with. 38" tires is 1/4 the cost of built tons with. 42-44" tires and supporting parts ... Ask me how I know lol

Only thing I don't like about my horas so far are knuckles. On second set. Been Thinking about getting 6 shooters. Was gonna go 60 s but I like being narrow the more I wheel it. I just know now not to bounce it. It's held good to my 39 reds, and I know butch isn't nice to it whenever he uses it, and I've beat on it pretty good too (just not as much as he has).
