Sure is. I knew he traded it for a RZR, but that was months ago. Guess it's been passed around...

Tim took it in the ass on that trade. That rzr is a ragged out piece of junk. I hope you made out better than he did...

Looks like the only change was the tires and wheels. What size are they now?

I traded him a jeep on tons and we keep our tires. I have a set of 44 tsl to put on it but I have to make the beadlocks for them still.

The tires on it are 38's right now. They look small on there

His 39.5's looked small too. 44's will look good. I don't think the rear axles will handle them. The dana 70 has an odd spline count. 17 I believe

well guess I will run it till it breaks. and replace it with a 14bolt later.

I was told the axles have 488 gears, is that true?

Yes, it has 4.88's. I was looking in to changing the carrier to a newer 35 spline so you could get cromo axles.

Those will look good on there. Did you change the rear axle yet? The Dana 70 didn't like the 39.5's

No I have not changed it yet. I guess I will see how it holds up. Try to take it easy on it.

Did it ever brake with the 39?

I wonder what the cost of upgrading the D70 carrier and buying new shafts is compared to slapping in a 14-bolt with 4.88 gears?

well I will have to try to figure out what carrier is in it so I know what parts to look for. I have a friend that has some dana 70 parts but who know if they will fit or now

As for the cost. Well I looked last night and the cheapest 14 bolt axle I found uses was 250 and the cheapest 488 gear for about 185 shipped. So I am going to be on the look out for both and hope that the 70 holds till then.
