Cincinnati-Based road rally.... The Rooster Challenge
A couple friends and I are putting on a Tri-state based road rally. It is a 2 day event with the Saturday consisting of bracket racing at thornhill and a 300 mile-ish road rally on Sunday.
It benefits the Susan G. Komen for the cure foundation. Check it out at http://www.theroosterchallenge.com/ Thanks!

Carwash, you gonna put street tires on the Yeti and drive it?
I'd come out just to see that...

i can't run it, I'm an organizer of the event. me and a couple other guys are putting this thing on. wouldn't be fair if we were in it... we'd have a little bit of an unfair advantage.

I didn't see anything about rules, so I'm guessing there aren't any.
Are bikes allowed? |

No bikes... 4 wheels only, sorry. There are rules in the registration form/waiver. Thought i put no bikes in there... i will add it if not. I need to start a "rules questions" thread in the forums... for questions like these, thanks.

Hmm... would I be way out of place in my ugly, 100% stock 4cylinder front wheel drive pickup truck?

Sounds simple enough. Though my high 17sec drag time may get a few laughs :)

I'm trying to get Jim ( Aftershock151) to sign up ! we're concerned about the power glide and rear gears in the Chevelle !! for the street end of the rally anyway .
These events are a blast if done right ! I've done several in the Dayton area just for fun . some folks get really serious about these things, computers and multiple timers on board ..... Mike , how many road miles is this going to be ? I might have to buy Jim a ring and Pinion |

It's a timed bracket race... you could win it in a geo metro. All you have to do is know how fast it goes the 1/4, and guess it well, and don't break out. Guys win these bracket comps in ford escorts all the time, etc.

Should be under 300 miles... no exact mileage set yet, but we want it finished in about 6 hours or so. We won't know the mileage and checkpoint set up til a few weeks prior... you guys wont know the checkpoints til you leave the start line... that's what makes it a navigator's race.
