I know there are a few people I wheel with that are planning on wheeling at 491 new years day. Anyone else interested in wheeling with us?

What type of wheeling is Big Rock as compared to Bills or Haspin? I've been there on a quad, but it has been about 5 years.

To me, Haspin is just a bunch of hills, and a bunch of drunk drivers. Not much fun for a capable rig. Bigrock has hills, rocks, and some nice creeks. We were talking about clearing out some trails we found that looked challanging, but we wanted to ask Duke about firing up the chainsaws before we did. I'm up for anywhere but Haspin. I say Bigrock for the Hang over run. Here's a pic of the creek. |

Honestly, 491 is pretty mild, there are a few spots that you can get intro trouble on but most stock rigs are capable of about 99% of his 250 achers. It's a lot of open trails with little in the way of tight, body damaging terrain (not saing you cant get body damage just saing it's easier to avoid it). There is a stream that winds it's way in the middle of the land with banks that people play on a fair amount. Bill does a lot of trail maintence so there may or may not be heavy ruts on the harder parts, just depends on previous weeks rain and traffic. There is a mud bog out there that he cut for the mud guppies that I've seen people to mia in so if that's ur thing it's defiantly a challenge.
Traffic is generally pretty light and it's mostly quads and bikes with the occasional truck or two. I like the place because you can show beginners what their vehicles are capable of with out scaring the bejesus out of them. It's close enough that your only an hour outside Cincinnati (if that) and easy enough that you don't have to have a trailor ready to tote your broken rig home. I go there on average of one time a month to ride the quad or to test out the latest mod and get my dirt fix. |

Well it is not Big Rock cus they have sand, they got some rocks and rolling hills, the back part of property have rocks and creek beds that make it hard, wet makes it even more challenging...tight spots some times...
