Roll over valves...

What should I use to keep all the fluids inside the parts they should be in when I roll over? I'm sick of getting covered in tranny fluid every time I go out.....

Get the inline ball valves within reach as u rout ur breathers. Then when u rollover remember to shut them. After u turn ign off. Keep all ur fluids in

Yeah serious.... I mean have breather vents too... just when u roll, shut ball valves right away when u turn off ign, pane, and everything else. Just remember to open back up before driving.

What u never heard of that?

This is what I plan to replace my fuel tank's vent with. I interpret it as a vent as well as a rollover valve. Don't know what the trannys think of it. Hope the link works.

How many ball valves would you need to do this method and where the hell would you put them all?

I wanted some vacuum actuated valves like heater control valves to put in my PCV and breather vent lines, but I can't find any that are normally closed, meaning opened with vaccuum. I would love to flip a switch or just kill the engine when rolled over and shut off the path to the intake for the engine oil that seems to hydrolock mine or fill the breather full of oil. Anyone know of a normally closed vaccuum actuated valve for 3/8-5/8 lines? I would take several.

Just get some tip-over valves with the ball in them... seems easy enough.

And JAZ sells a bunch too, but they are more to be screwed into a fuel cell, not connected to a line.

My rig rarely goes all the way over, although it does happen from time to time. Usually I am on my side, sucking oil out of the valve cover. I would like to be able to switch the PCV off and on at will.

Yeah it looks like the city waterworks on his dash, he has 13 ball valves, 3 screw-type shut offs and a fire hydrant for flushing the system. He's waiting for his OSHA stamp of approval before he can enter the rig.

Y'all got me smilin. Wife looked over and asked what I laffin about.

I was goin more toward the transmission fluid problem he specifically mentioned. I been runnin a bv on tranny and tcase vent on my auto buggys for years. Got idea from randy torbett back when uroc was around maybe ten years ago or so. ( jwend that was an older rock crwl organization before werock got big....fyi )... lots of comp guys do it, I'm surprised it seems exotic to you. Most run bellows on axles, so not a issue there.
No wasent even ssugesting anything for motor... but redranger may be on to something.

Just throwin out remedies to his prob. Hope it helps!

I just can't imagine trying to remember to shut off ball valves as I'm rolling over... let alone find them in such an instance. Anyway, if the comp guys do it, i guess it's legit...

Lmfao! He must have like 3 different special shut off wrenches attached to small chains on the dash so dont loose them when he rolls
