February Meeting Minutes
We had our first official club meeting Monday night the 5th.
Jeff Smith opened up by welcoming visitors. We had two guests, the first was Teach who some of you might know from the message board, who was a plethora of vehicle and 4x4 parts, also in attendance was Jim from Eaton who is building a big block TJ. Next topic of discussion was yearly dues. At one of our last meetings last year we discussed reducing dues to $30 for returning members if the renewed by the March meeting. Since we did not have a full club meeting in January the deadline was extended to the April meeting. Also extended as the deadline for t-shirt design entries to next months meeting. The club will vote on them with the designer receive free membership for the year. Bob gave the treasurer's report and we have some money in the bank. The club purchased business cards to pass out with the logo website and our presidents contact info on them. Those of you reading this also notice the new forum, the software to host this forum was also purchased this past month. Which was discussed next by Mike. He gave some info about what he has planned in the future for the website. The club discussed some censoring issues that Mike will address in the near future and a set of rules and guideline will be discussed for the web site. He also discussed certain perks that paid club member receive above non-paying forum visitiors. There was one trail ride that was talked about and that was Scott Pater taking his neighbor to Livingston to try out the neighbors new H3. Thats right NEW H3. The had a good time with some scratches and some tie-rod damage that will hopefully be covered under the warranty. We then went over the tenative trips list for 2007. But as always if you are going on a trip post up and get others involved. The main topic for discussion was our August benfefit show. This year to be held in Trenton at Yardbirds (correct me if wrong Sarge). There is a child who has been battling with leukemia for about 6 months and her parents have both served in the armed forces. Jeff willl approach the family to see if we can do a benefit for them. For those members renewing or joining please see your secretary at the meeting to complete the neccesary forms. All in all the meeting was a good one with a great turnout. We look forward to seeing folks again next month on the first Monday at 7pm at Symmes Tavern on the Green. Thanks, Jason Grossnickle C.O.R.E. Secretary
