Rush Trailclearing, April 7th-9th

Our spring Rush trip is right around the corner!

We'll do a little trail work, and a lot of wheeling. Open to all sizes and shapes, if we have to split into over and under 35s, we will. Solid tow points are always appreciated.

I personally won't head down til early Saturday, and I'll be bringing at least a few Tristate guys with me.

I assume we'll camp in the same spot we always do?

Who else is planning on it, and what did we have in mind for trail work? At the Feb meeting, we talked about HalfPipe?

Thursday night or Friday morning:
Kevin
Mark
Jeff & Zac
Jim B
Jim C
Scott
Chris
Definite maybe Tony Flint

Saturday Morning:
Me
Adam
Sam and Zach
Jeff and Allie
Eric J
Jacob
And still a handful of maybes, but not likely...

I'm in. A few of us will probably head down Friday morning like we always do.

The camp spot will depend on the rain. I'm not sure how sloppy that spot by 5 guys gets if its wet.

I didn't think we'd camped down there for a few years. I was thinking up on the other side, where we were last March and August.

I'll let you guys decide when you get there, and then just invite myself to join you!

I'll bring firewood, so save me a spot by the pit for my trailer.

Chalk me up for a definite maybe. I may camp one night so save me a 3x7' space near the fire.

Added a preliminary list, will update...

There's at least a few of us planning to convoy down Saturday morning. Rendezvous point and departure time TBD, once we know who all is coming from where.

Had major trouble wheelin' today when I had front driveshaft turning but no front wheel rotation despite the ARB locker engaged. I have not even pulled the diff cover but I can not imagine the situation without catastrophic failure in the front diff. The only good thing is that I didn't hear any CHUNKing of metal in the front dif.

Regardless, will take the relatively stock jeep as backup to the trail cleaning and camping if I can't fix the facta non verba in time.

I will most likely be rolling out Friday Morning also, got a few things to fix on the rig but shouldn't be a problem.

Tomorrow, I'm pulling the front dif cover hoping not to find an exploded ARB locker or broken axle shafts. Last time out had the front drive shaft turning but the tires didn't spin. Both tires. Never ever saw that happen.

I am still in but with reservations. I'm lucky to have a backup jeep.

I think I'll try to make this one and meet some more folks before the Harlan trip. What time is everyone leaving out on Fri and Sat? I'm about 2 hours from Cinci, just south of Indy.

I'm not sure when we're leaving Saturday.

Does the Friday group have a preference as to whether we (Saturday group) try to get there early, and meet up before you head out? Or should we take our time and meet you when you break for lunch?

The trip always seems to take longer than we plan, somebody's always a little behind or something. Don't want to hold you up...

Barring anything happening to our jeeps this weekend, we will leave out around 2 PM on Friday.

Bringing chain saw. Also bringing the relatively stock jeep. Planning on arriving Saturday morning and staying overnight.

Sunday looks even better. I know you guys are always eager to get home and unpacked, but Sunday may be the choice day...

My wife just informed/reminded me we have a wedding we RSVP'd to to attend Sat at 5:30. I'm going for Friday and leaving for home by noon on Sat. Sucks, but at least I'll get to wheel a little. (assuming I don't break before then.)
