Visibility inside was just plain awful. I sat in it the first day we got there. But the dude is super cool, as was his whole crew. He gets major props for originality in my book.

definitely. Function doesn't have to always mean less form, but you can't let form completely impede function. A street rod in a two-dimensional roadway doesn't pose too much of a hinderance with a chopped top and mail-slot windows. In a three-dimensional, offroad environment this becomes a major liability unless you have cameras and spotters and are well-versed in operating by remote control.

Yellowjacket... Are you planning on having any pinstriping done or stuff like that...? Artsy-fartsy, eye-candy stuff...?

Airbrushed mural of Zena, princess warrior. With a goat. Right on the hood

Nah. A few decals. That's about it. Would love to throw a bigger one on the hood but haven't found a decent one yet

Finished rear firewall... tuff to persuade into position! Lexan ( polycarbonate) per race specs. Should also keep cold rain off my neck and quiet the exhaust note and rear rad fan... a side benefit.

Also mounted my trans cooler as in pic. Fluid to fluid exchanger is in the long term plan but fluid to air cooler for now.

Also can see pane tank mounting rails in front of rad

I must say I'm not fond of the lack of contrast the rig has. Same color for panels and tube work really lends itself to not showing off either of them...it all just blends in together. I would have mixed it up a bit... just to show it all off, etc...

Funny thing with lexan too is that you can't repaint and change yer color, since you painted it on the inside.

Is the dark pic hiding some contrast, or are the skins and chassis in fact the same color?

I matched it up to killer koatings valve covers and they can be darker or lighter depending on lighting. See earlier pics. Wait till u see a bright yellow chicken suit driving it. Oh yeah- its gonna happen!

Yup both are same color. By choice. Not needing to showcase any tube just not my thing. When things slow down for you you shouldcome out and wire this thing up w me

I just think there should have been some kind of color difference between the two, whether it's your thing or not. Just looks better i think.... too much damn red.

I'm sure 4wheelparts will be coming out with a new product line of 'simulated' trail grime, scratches, and rust. Plenty of contrast with how it looks today.

Not having the norm of contrasting tubing and panels makes it a bit more interesting to me. Makes me want to look at the details more. By doing them the same he has in effect made his build different. (applause)

U guys crrack me up natures pinstriping has a nice ring to it.

Front axle is basically not been touched. Its my biggest variable.still has rusty carrier bearings. My train of thought is leave that for last. You can " build" a 60 for 1000$ ... or u can BUILD a 60 for $4k+. And I wanna take care everything else and check the $ situation.

Well I said when I get this painted and rollin again imma clean my pigstye mancave. Rolled buggy in corner helps me realize how bad it is in here. I guess offroad guys make more mess than the guy that only changes his oil on his dd....Mite be a while before I get back to buggy build.

Hey jwend are u takin over the red9 decal biz? Or is construction work taking ur time still
