I'd be fine wheeling there, but they don't allow camping. Or glass containers.

I really do want to, and plan to next year.

But for the Tour, I just don't think it'll work.

I don't think people are going to want to cut it short Saturday to drive four plus hours to primitive camp in 35* weather. And I really don't think people will want to do that drive early Sunday instead, to get out there past noon, and get four hours in and have to drive back...

But hey, I'm not in charge. Does Rush sound better to anybody that's planning to go?

For that matter, who is planning to go?

So maybe we'll just hash it out around the fire at Haspin.

I'm only in for Haspin. Rush would've been good if we had started at Bigrock. I wouldn't have drove the 4 hrs to Rush from Haspin. That's to far for a days wheeling.

If we end up at DTOR, it's $20 for the driver, $5 passenger.

Good luck with that. I wouldn't count on them coming back any time soon.

Yeah, I showed him your thread. We're hoping that was a fluke!

So! Are we all meeting and camping at the shoe tree again?

yes the shoe tree. unless you want a change of scenery, haspin has a bra tree to offer over toward the backbone.

wasn't much left the last time I was there so that may be true at this point. not sure if everyone knows where to meet then if they are new to haspin. maybe Robert can post a pic of the location since he was mapping it out ?

I think it was burned down and restarted. There was "a" shoe tree in the same clearing when we were there end of August...

For those trying to find it, we're talking about the big clearing right in the middle of the park:

The "Lot Tree" is at the entrance, the blue lines are fire roads. You can get a tow rig and trailer back there pretty easily.
