I'd like copies of everyone's pics too. If they're someplace I can just grab them from, that's great; otherwise I'd like to figure out how to get copies.

As for the weekend,.. It was perfect... I am so happy to have been able to participate in the Night run... Running with you more "seasoned" wheelers opened my eyes to a lot of things I never thought I could ever do.. Big thanks to Nick for helping me through some of the more difficult terrain..
For once I had a weekend without a single major breakage...(the fender doesn't count).. everything went well,.. besides a little low speed death wobble on the way home.. As for the Trail called "bypass"... My butt is still puckered thinking about it... and last but not least Sorry for holding everyone up the million times I did.. You guys make me look like a quadriplegic in a ford focus on the trails.... :) Rob (click the top 3 pics for Video) Nick Sat night to give you an Idea of how Dark it was out there Me and Nick sat night The Bypass Scott in the creek Sat night Last edited by RosenTurd; 11-08-2010 at 09:15 PM. |

I think I have finally recovered from the Friday nights ALL NIGHTER !!!!
Thanks for the ride Brad ! I owe you one ! Had a blast , carnage list was short but rather pricey !!!! Front Drive Shaft still too short ...... no big deal But the real pain in the arse is : Bent 3 Copper Head Fab centers on my H1's (both front and one of the rears) This really pisses me off.......but I guess it's my fault for trying to save a little on the build. I ordered the 1/4" flat centers instead of the 3/8"..... Note to all ..... DO NOT RUN BIG TIRES ON 1/4" flats  Gonna order some Trail Worthy pressed centers and spend a day cutting and grinding the CopperJoke centers out of my rims ... Oh and I Trail Lightened ( as Pater says ) the rig by removing some side glass . |

Had a great time on Sunday... It was great to meet everybody and get out on the trails... It was my first time at Big Rock and it seems like it is a great place to wheel and can't wait until the next time i can go back...
I got some pics too, but most of them are from "Bypass" where Cory managed to lay his Yota p/u on its side...

Thanks everyone!!!
Big thanks to everyone who came out either one day or both!!! It was great getting a chance to get some faces to go with names as well as a chance to run with some new rigs. It was a couple long days but well worth it for the fun factor.
I need to do a couple call outs..Thanks to the trail leaders on Sunday, Nick Lambert (Coppertop) and Scott Armstrong (flxratd). Appreciate you guys gracefully handling the pressure of leading everyone around on short notice. Thanks Scott A for handling the trail meeting on Sunday on a 2 min notice. Big thanks to Duke, at Big Rock, for letting us land there later Saturday evening than planned and still do a night run and for the firewood and for letting us camp together and..... oh heck, just thanks for everything this weekend!! It was a great time! I hope everyone had a great time and I'm hoping to do something similar next year..stay tuned to see what we come up with. If you have ideas please let me know. I'm planning a time of year when we're not camping in 20 degree weather though...my favorite quote of the weekend was from the night run, when Scott A said "I think I have frost on the tops of my legs". Cause it was dang cold...

Tim, thanks for the ride Sunday. I appreciated it.
Kevin and others, thank you for the attempt to jump me. The darn thing started on it's own at home that evening. I would not have thought there would be enough battery to even turn it over. I have been in Columbus since late Sunday night and just got home. Looks like tomorrow I will be off buying a new coil and plug wires. Even though I was embarrassed because of my vehicle Sunday, I liked Big Rock and really enjoyed being out with the group I rode with. John

By the way, I find it funny that Skippy made it farther back in Haspin (as my Jeep stayed in the parking lot). Not many...Didn't realize it at the time but I think the camera stayed in the carrier most of the day. Sorry...
