Trail Report:

- Club Cookout at Rush, July 4-6th
We didn't see the turnout we'd hoped for, but it was a capable group and still a great weekend.

Jeff, Kevin and Rich got down there Wednesday. They tooled around some, then went exploring the Three Pole side, and ran the powerline trail back. Later, they ran FiveGuys and Coburn Canyon (Trail 39), which is become a better and better trail as time goes on.

Thursday, they went back to ThreePole, to hit the headline obstacles. They started at SlickRock, then hit RockGod, where Kevin killed his differential and ended his weekend.

Andy pulled in Thursday night, in time for the pyrotechnics.

Rich left Friday morning, leaving Jeff and Andy to tool around til lunch, then got caught in a quick shower. Zach pulled in around dinner time, and the group hit FiveGuys and Coburn again.

Saturday, Jeff, Andy and Zach made a full tour of the park, hitting "everything but Tater's," due to the pouring rain, including an assault on RockGod that put Zach on his side, and a trip up HardCORE with a couple of new friends with tire trouble.

It was another great trip, but people are starting to notice the lack of facilities at Rush. There is talk about some cabins going in, just off-site, but nothing actually in the park.

Pics on the forum here.

Upcoming Events:

- Club Ride at Rich's, July 20th
This was supposed to happen in June, and didn't, so it was discussed for the 20th. That's looking like a bust too, so, hopefully some other time...

- Bear Wallow WV, Aug 2-4th
Unfortunately, canceled due to trail closures

- Hollerwood Park, Stanton KY, Aug 2-4th
As an alternative, we're talking about Hollerwood. This is 2,500 acres in and around the old Slade trails. But now, it is privately leased land, so vehicles are no longer required to be licensed and insured.

Jeff has had a number of conversations with Craig Dawson, who's running the show down there. He is very eager to have us down, and is making the investments needed to make it a premier destination. The park has a lot of potential, and this could be a great time to go check it out.

- Athens Co Crawlers, Athens OH, Aug 30th - Sept 2nd
This Labor Day was supposed to be back at Rush, but we're hearing about a new place east of here that might be worth checking out. Details to follow...

.
Official Business:

- Family Memberships
The Club's First Lady (Chrissie Smith) brought up an issue that spouses, while an integral part of the Club, don't really have any official representation. One possible remedy is to offer a Family Membership, for a nominal additional fee, so that all immediate family would be official "Associate Members."

We'll discuss it further, but in the meantime, we want everyone to know that their voices are heard, and their opinions are welcome and valued. Please, always feel free to speak up and join the conversation!
