  • Mapping Hollerwood

I've been playing around with a gpx-editing program I found, using it to create a gps map of Hollerwood, based off the paper map they gave us. I cross referenced the paper map with three or four satellite images, a topographical map, and some old country-road maps, to try n get everything aligned.

Now that I've got the basic trail network laid out, I can reload it to my tablet, where I can label and color-code individual trails. A few trails just didn't show up on any of my references, so I just roughed them in til we can actually ride them, and then record them in real time.

I'm not positive how "sharable" the file will be when I'm done, but I'm happy to send copies of the .osm or .gpx if someone wants to try them...
