Yep the 30 and 35 are going under the Jimmy with the 33" TSL's . Going to lower it a little bit and see what I think . May sell it , May keep it . Might look at trading it for a quad or towards a side by side ????

looks good cant wait to see it done

Well , after having to go to Newark for a three day waste of time  , I finally got back to work on the rig . Got the cage final burned in , but I might add a bar or two in the back .... floors are all welded up and filled in , going to paint the cage today and then line the floor .. one more go around with filler and primer and it's paint time. Speaking of paint .... I have changed paint colors :D
cage, crusher corners, boat sides and bumpers will be hammered silver and the body will be Sub-lime green pearl . I went to the paint store to get paint for my sons car and fell in love with the color ..... http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y15...ucket001-2.jpg http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y15...ucket002-2.jpg |

I'm going to leave the stockers under it for a little while , I have a honey do list that needs tending to befor the swap. I woul say a month maybe less. |
Cage needs more triangulation.
J/K Looks good Mike. |
I really like this build, but kind of wish you ran it on the 33's for a while. I would like to know what a Jeep could do if it was fully built on 33's. I feel like there are a lot of guys out there that think it takes 37's to do particular trails and it would be funny to see you roll by them on 33's.

You have the rear wheel wells opened enough to clear 42" tires with the tons down the road?
|
With the full widths and dove tail ..... it shouldn't be a problem :D
|
plates look good!!!! So how did you finaly get the holes punched out?:sweatin:
|
had to resort to the drill press and a hole saw .... The knock out just wouldn't cut it .
|
Well it's been awhile since I posted any up dates and due to this wonderful weather we have been having it has been kinda rough on the garage/shade tree guy, and I tore a legament in my elbow moving a big screen out of my basement ....... makes it very painful to try and do fab work and body work.
I got everything prepped and ran into a slight problem with the windshield motor ...... it hits the cage . I have two choices , one is to notch the cross bar about .25" to allow the motor to pass or , two , just remove it and keep the windshield rainXed . http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y15...ucket001-3.jpg Got it in the final primer coat last night , with the looks of the weather I'm hoping to have it in paint this week end . http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y15...ucket002-3.jpg Seats are on there way and then the frame gets blasted and painted , still looking for harnesses , just can't decide what ones I want. Then I get to clean the dust off all the parts and put it back together. |
i see the hood line has changed from the first cut and tube fenders ? new fender design or no fender now ?
as far as your arm i say stick to the 12oz curls and you wont have any trouble |
no fenders , once I put the 60's under it it will not matter anyway :) ,
I may add a tube that follow the High line , I already added steel plate to the tub so that if I decide to add the tube I have a good attachment point. Takeing a vacation day tomorrow so I might be spraying color :beers: Fed Ex says seats will be at the house Sat. morning ....... once there in I can finish the cage and seat mounts and ......... maybe drive it ! And as for the 12 oz curls ...... yes doctor I will take your advise and increase my reps. |
well it's green ....... still waiting on seats, they should be waiting for me at the house when I get off work today .
