It's coming together nicely and I may be driving it this week end , if it would ever quit raining .

I got my cage finished up and painted and added mounts for the new seats with the factory sliders on both sides . I started spraying the floor last night and ran out of bed liner. Going to finish up floor today , wait for it to dry and start the reistall on the dash and interior.

God thats gotta hurt

blazerbrad 05-06-2011 08:34 AM

I'm impressed you had enough composure to stop and take a picture of it.

sarge 05-06-2011 09:22 AM

well , I couldn't get it out of my thumb , so I had a lot of time to think about it ! It took a pair of vise grips and some force to get the 1/2 long piece out ...... it almost went all the way through. Believe it or not it's healing up just fine , not going to lose the nail and really doesn't even hurt anymore ...

this was just taken this morning , so one week out :

sarge 05-06-2011 09:34 AM

ok , enough about the thumb , and back on topic .... I have got it to the point that I drive it around last night , tail lights turn signals and all work as they should , I still have to put the dash back together and make some shock hoops on the front and get the shocks installed.

momma decided the other day that she wanted me to put a back seat in it , scored one last night for next to nothing and it's even tan .... Going to replace the stock tank with a RCI cell .

For the most part It's done , Stage One complete .

Stay tuned for Stage Two .... it should get interesting from here...

Yeah, that's hardcore.

I've stabbed and smashed my fingers in many ways, but never stopped to take a picture of them. That's priceless.

You best soak it in peroxide and mathyolade for hours and neosporin the hell out of it. If you beat infection with that you will be one lucky sucker! DAMN!!! I have come close to doing that quite a few times. I saw a video of a fella pouring gun powder in that type of wound and setting it on fire to seal it up.

I shot a large siding staple through my finger and in between a joint and pulled it out with pliers as it had the other side stuck in the bone. My fingers hurt just thinking about running a drill in. :sweatin:

I did that once, only with a smaller bit. Actually it broke right before being ran through the nail and all the way through the end of the finger and then ripping out the end of my finger. It wasn't pretty, but healed up just fine. Time will heal all...

Looks good Mike, you work often in the garage with a family audience?

sarge 05-10-2011 09:50 AM

Organized is not the word I would use for my garage right now . It looks loike a bomb went off ...... I am going to pull the Jeep out here in a few days and do a complete spring cleaning and reorganize the whole thing....... that should last at least a week :D

kentuckytwostep 05-10-2011 09:20 PM

haha, yeah actually I meant I like HOW you have it organized.... not how organized it is ;)

It's inspired me and might do some rearranging this weekend.

by the way. on my last build up I smashed middle finger nail so bad that I thought about running a drill bit through it. Maybe not that big of one though.

94Dodge Truggy 05-20-2011 10:41 AM

That finger healing up alright? :sweatin:

sarge 05-20-2011 02:27 PM

amazingly well , didn't even loose the nail , still a little tender down deep but not too painful. I got lucky I guess.

Another note , Jeep is done except for inner fenders and rock lights , now I can't keep my 17 year old out of it. :)

fordman00 05-20-2011 04:33 PM

Still haven't seen this cruising around Trenton yet
