sarge 06-28-2011 11:30 AM

ended up with an old 258 that came out of the CJ I'm parting out . I had to modify my H.O. head but it was a very easy swap. only had to fab up a few little things to make it all work together.
The computer is still in learn mode and the cam is giving it fits so it's not running the best , but as soon as I get off work I'm slapping the drive shafts in her so I can get it out on the street for some drive time.....
Leaving Thursday for Florida so I prolly will not make it to the woods before then.

I will be leaving friday for florida. Wheres at?

LOL , I might see you there , I think the wife is secretly setting up a Mickey encounter for us to !!!!! I'm really happy about it but I'll have bite my tounge.

As far as the Jeep goes , I had it a tooth off , figured it out after work yesterday and the took ot to the creek and ran the piss out of , took a bunch of pictures with my phone and then dropped it in the water somewhere
So now the jeep is filthy and I'm phoneless....

krawlin85toy 06-30-2011 11:09 PM

dam, and you just replaced that phone from the last mis:eek:shap!!!

Well as luck would have it ( my luck anyway ) something in the transfer case in the Jimmy let go and made my mind up for me ...... it's gonna find a new home, but before it goes it's going to lose its axles.

Got the garage cleaned up and reorganized from the mass motor swapping that has been taking place over the last few months and got the YJ in and up on jack stands .....

Phase II will begin shortly ...... stay tuned :beers:

specs :
- front 60 SUA on 4" superlift YJ springs
- Rear 60 SOA on stock YJ's - possible stock Dakotas if I need to set the rear axle back for tire clearance.
- 37" tires on recenter H1's
- Hydro assist using 8" Surplus Center ram and tapped factory box
Plan is to stay as low as possibe , it's gonna be wide... 13" total over what it is right now . Headed to the lake this week-end for one last dock party and then it's starting time...

yellowjacket 09-07-2011 11:33 AM

You sure have had some dark clouds over ur build...

Its gonna get better now. I can sense it. I'm lookin forward to this phase of ur build. Keep them pics comin

We will get out a few more times, .
but not in my boat , in fact we are not even getting mine out of storage this weekend , just a few couples going , no need to get the whole fleet out, I'm winterizing it before I come home :beers:

Hope Springs Hauler 09-07-2011 02:56 PM

I've still got the top for you so you can winter wheel, too:beers:

Heck, I've got to see how you're gonna make this work. Dovetail, taper top. A lot of work but it should be nice

sarge 09-14-2011 08:38 AM

it has begun ! I had a few hours of free time last night so I decided it was time to jump into phase II ,

rear is sitting on it's own weight , sprung over on stock YJ's , it's alittle bit taller then I was shooting for so I may have to do something different down the road. Gotta head down to Brighton Spring and get some U-bolts after work today and then it's on to the hard part ....... the front!

humpy 09-14-2011 08:46 AM
