After discovering that the jeep was 1 of 1000 in a limited production run, our president (not Obama) Flxratd decided that he would rather see the jeep in better hands. Armstrong Automotive has a new mascot! ;) Not saying that I am unable to work wonders with a claw hammer and sawzall equipped with a torch blade, but the jeep deserves a good home as my driving skills would have been rough on the LJ.

I have decided to purchase a lesser quality pre-beat LJ for repairs to wheel this year. Utah may be a bit too far to drive and am currently arranging shipping on the new project. Fortunately I think I am a better driver than this jeeps previous owner as can be seen on youtube under "a dave card rollover". Anyone know of a good shipper willing to pick up? Pics coming!

Wow. Looks like he may have had a little bit too much weight hanging off the back end. Good luck with the new new build.

What made it so special?

I know they didn't make a ton of LJ-Rubi's, but I'm sure it was more than that.

The six speed maybe? Dunno.

Just curious...

Looked. Believe me I buy local as much as possible and go way out of my way to keep it of US origin. Really looking forward to seeing just how rigs are set up out west for hard core wheelin.

Yep, now that's driver skill right there!!!

Good luck with the shipping, it's expensive. Several years ago when my parents retired and moved to Henderson, NV. It was cheaper for Dad to drive out pulling his 18' fish/ski boat than to ship it. Boat and trailer is probably a similar weight to a Jeep. Hope it works out, LJ Rubi is a good base for a build!

Thanks! I already have them lined up and am scheduling them for a next year moab adventure! I have a few friends who have used them in the past and my wife has business relations with them as well. 10 days will go by fast I hope.
