Found something in my yard today!!

I guess it was living Flipper. I started working on Flipper today and found it under the hood on the ground when I came back out from getting a drink. I almost made it a pet but JJ said "NO F*CKING WAY" So he went for a swim in the river. (I just couldn't hurt thr little guy).

Sure looks like a copperhead to me. They are naturally found here and poisonous.

Looks like a queen snake. They taste good cooked on a grill. Kind of like chicken.

Eyes can give away the snake as being venomous or not.

Looking more like a water snake or rat snake to me. All copperheads I have ever seen have been light-brown.
