Have you tried a diffrent tank? Sounds funny, but mine would start real hard with a certain tank, then when I switched it'd start easy again. And thats all I got, good luck!

double check your solinoid is working and maybe pull the top of the carb off and clean the rubber piece ontop. Then check the nob under the bowl to see if on lean or rich. There is only 3 setting on mine. Other than that, it's pretty strait forward, timing maybe?

Just read through the pirate thread again. You said the longer it sits the easier it seems to try to start, and that only the front 4 cyl seem to be firing. That sounds like you aren't getting enough fuel. Have you checked for vacume leaks? From what I understand a propane system works on pressure from the tank, and vacume from the motor. If the tank is full it has pressure. If there is a leak it might not have enough vacume to open the lock off valve all the way, or even open the diaphram in the mixer.
