and we have trouble with the bumper laws on our jeeps, how in the heck do those ratrods not have issues driving around without any bumpers at all?

Because the cops think they are cool and so do I. I think the rule is 6" under the bumper to be legal. i had trouble with that back in my sweet ricer days and my Civic.

I love em too, just know that the second I got it on the road i'd be pulled over. along with height, i believe the bumper itself has to be 4" tall and be as wide as the center of the tires or something?

i'll probably just continue building junk jeeps.

I have a CJ project if anyone is looking for a good start of a project for CHEAP.

Yep, 4.5" actually. But OAC 4501-43-04-B only states a maximum height of 22" for passenger cars, no minimum.

4501-43-03-B does say the body/frame can't hit the ground, but that's it.

I have seen a couple diesel rat rods that look nasty. I think that would be cool along with a diesel in a TJ for a DD with some decent mileage.

That is Badass, but I think I'd pick a bigger parking lot to be playing around in all that smoke...
