Slade/Gorge trip Nov. 2010

A few pictures from our trip last weekend.

Granny's Hatbox

YJ - Dynatrac D60's with spools, NV4500, Atlas 4-speed (we talked him into using the 10:1 here), 37" Boggers



Another YJ- D60's with ARB's, AW4, 231 and 4.0L from an XJ, custom built 3 link front, spring under rear, zero lift, 37" BFG's.



TJ - custom 4 links front and rear, D60/D70 open (first big ride out, is planning on ARBs), 4.0L, D300, 38.5" SX front/Bogger rear



'78 F-250 - D60 w/ Detroit, D70 welded, moderate build 460 on propane, C6, NP205, 42" TSL's



My junk Blazer - D60 w/ Lock-right, welded 14FF, 6.2 diesel, 700r4, NP241, 4" lift, 39.5" TSL's



'77 Bronco - built 302, C4, D44, 9", 38" TSL's



TJ - 4" lift and 33's, Rubicon D44's, 4 banger

nice pics. i love that place. guys i used to hang out with went there a lot.

is grandma's hatbox the same as widowmaker/ little widow maker? or close to it?

what you all call granny's hatbox is actually just the waterfall "in" widowmaker. everyone just calls it the waterfall down here

95 yj, fresh fuel injected 302, c-6, twin sticked 205, 3 linked high pinion d60 front, double trianulated 4 linked 14 bolt rear (all aluminum links) locked both ends, 4:56 gears, full hydro steering, high steer, 4 wheel discs, 16" 2.5 fox air shocks, 39.5" irok's. just finishing a full frame-up redo thanks to a great friend and one knowledgable(sp?) s.o.b casey cravens for without him this could not have been done in such a short time and done right!

LOOK OUT "WHITEY" HERE I COME!!!

A lot of people were taking pictures but none have posted them yet. I do have a few others.

Top of Carb.


Trying to go down Hairpin. We took the wrong trail and wound up at top of it instead of the bottom (though the trail was pretty fun getting there). We had to winch him backwards a little and then he steered to the passenger side and drove out.


The correct way to go down.
