I tried this with my 231d and found out that I had a different pitch from s different year transfer. what I ended up doing was purchasing the correct front cover from the shop, about $130-150. Rushing in and buying something incorrect along with my lack of time and knowledge cost me. Go to a shop and buy the correct cover unless you can locate it yourself. If I new how simple it would have been to do it myself, I could have saved their fees.
