JK items interchangeable?
Are 2007 to 2010 Jeep Wrangler JK unlimited's t-cases interchangeable with the older jeeps that had the 231's and 241's in the 06 and older rubicons? Axles wider than TJ's? Hows the V-6 3.8 power compared to the I-6's 4.0? Reliable? Auto's nice? I do not know much about these but may in the future. Thanks, Scott

you can play with my jeep if you want to test it out. I dont think the 2007-11 stuff works with the 2006 jeep. I like the 3.9 but it is a little under powered.

It is a 3.9? No 231 t-case interchanging? Is the rear seat a 3 seater or 2 like the 06 and older jeeps?

my bad it is a 3.8, i dont think the 231 works with the JK transmission. They do make a Rubicrawwler reduction box which is BA. Rear seat in my 4 door is for 3 people (small people) not sure about the 2 door.

I don t beleive that will interchange, t cases that is. The axle are about 6 inches wider than a TJ, but you d have to do a lot to them to get them under a tj. Plus you need to truss and sleeve the JK axles as they have thin tube, but a JK rubicon axle shaft is about the same size as a dana 60 shaft.
