I overheard that the obstacle course on monday requires a vehicle to have driveshaft loops, battery kill device, etc... I have watched this event the last couple of years and have seen some without the required safety equipment. Anyone know about how strict they really are?

You may have seen an exebition run.......IN GENERAL THEY ARE VERY STRICT ON OBSTACLE CARS....mainly because of possible injury...I do work as a tech
director, and at times it can be a tuff inspection...the items you named are on the top of the list.....Nowa |

I could be an inspector. I saw a cherokee 2 years ago running with no doors, loops, battery disco. and a standard seatbelt run.

Maybe I will throw a strap around the driveshafts, paint the strap silver and call it done? Do the inspectors take bribes or donations?

The eliminator hill is a whole lotta fun. The obstacle course is my favorite though. What time does the eliminator hill on sunday begin? I believe the parade in town is today at 6.
