I purchased led bulbs from superbright for my civic. I recommend this place. Very reasonable prices, fast shipping and good products.

I will be very interested to see what kind of light they put out. Please put a "lit" picture up when you get them installed.

I bought 20 of those led's. I was impressed with the light output. If you put them 2' apart around your rig, it would light up very well. I hooked all 20 together and from the center of my rig, you could see all around the truck. I hooked 1 to a 9v battery, and I could walk around my house in the dark and see real good. Only time will tell how long they last. Amazing light output for $1.99. These things are tiny.

Pretty neat. I was thinking on using something like this, but with a twist. I've got some 1" lexan we used to cover the shop lights we put in the shop floor. A good chunk of it is left. I was going to cut a slice of it, drill holes on one end (not the face, but an end) that are slightly larger than the LEDS and slip one in each hole and epoxy. I could use my router to cut a trench to gather the wires in and epoxy that too. Terminate with a pair of plugs (RCA or whatever) and epoxy that in place. Run my wires to a small switch panel in my console or door pocket and I can appear ricey going down the street or flip one on to check for damage after hitting a critter on my way home.

I figure 2-4 lights per slab of lexan. The lexan can be drilled for mounting and the light will diffuse everywhere and provide a nice glow. The lexan is tough to bust and I can hit it with some wet 600-1000 grit and plastic polish to keep the luminosity.

Its a virtual no-load setup for lighting where you need it. Might even put a couple in the cargo area of the blazer since the light back there now is almost useless.

I did something similar with lexan. I cut some 1/2" & 1/8" lexan in to 1"x2" pieces. Made a jig and routed a trench in the 1/2" lexan for 3 led's. Then took the 1/8" piece and used it as a lense for the top. A small amount of silicone should hold the lense on and seal it. If the led ever dies, the lexan piece is reusable. I should have them installed this weekend, and will post pics.

Got the led's hooked up. This is 6 sets of 3 with 3 sets on each side. It lit up all the way around the truck, under it, and most of my garage. I will be doing this on my rig soon.

I was thinking the 4 led sign module would work good. Might have to seal it up a little to make it water proof instead of weather proof. I would probably take a thin piece of Lexan and silicone it to the face like I did on the ones I made. Not bad for $6.49 each. Only thing that sucks is you can't get them in natural or warm white, which is the best light output imo...

I will post some pics of how I made mine soon.

I have a sting of 6 or 8 of these back light modules at the shop if anyone is interested. The ones I have a sealed a bit better than those are. I would take 10 buck for them. You pay shipping.
