gm alternator

I've got a 85 yota with 22r I've got the gm one wire for alternator just wonder if anyone has done this before and if so how's it done?

I've done it on a 78 Bronco. The 1 wire goes to the charge light, or you have to make one yourself. Power to one side of the light, and the wire from alt to the other side of the light. Make sure the power only works when the key is on.

The single wire alternator I used on a race car just had a 4 guage wire hooked to the
the battery. The alternator was was self energizing regulator. There are charts on the internet about pully sizes. Proper pulley size is important so it starts charging and does not over spin the alternator.
