Tire collections...

So I bought a new/used set of tires for the pretty jeep the other night. It got me to thinking, and counting...

That's two sets of four for the pretty jeep, two sets (street and trail) for the dirty jeep. A set of four on the Burban, the trailer, the Willys, and the TJ rolling chassis. Eight sets of four is 32. Spares for two jeeps, the Burb and trailer is four more, 36. Two on the Bantam trailer is 38, two in the shed (left over from when I bought my real trailer) makes an even forty.

Forty mounted wheels and tires. I may be due for an intervention.

Anybody beat my high score?

Nah, they don't keep that many mounted.

A car dealer would.

If I count them I'm sure I'm over that but over the last 10 years of being a tire guy I've slowly taken then in and dismounted to scrap wheels.

I was amazed when I started tallying ..not counting space saver spares I've got 58 mounted and usable tires.

With four ATVs , SxS , tractor and four DDs one of whice is a dually the number kept going up. My racing quad and SxS have multiple sets of tires and wheels because just one set just wouldn't do.

Offroad Rig = 13 mounted tires (2 sets of offroad tires and 1 set of rollers) plus 2 more unmounted tires
Tow Rig = 4 tires on it plus spare, and the 4 original rims with tires
Trailer = 4 tires on it and 2 mounted spares
FJ-40 = 4 tires and spare
Work car = 4 tires and spare
Wife's van = 4 tires and spare

There is 41 total but only 39 are mounted. Now if you want to include other vehicles there are two riding mowers and each has a pair of extra drive tires, so there is another 10.

jeep #1= 5 (1 spare)
Jeep #2= 5 (1 spare)
trailer=6 (2 spares)
horse trailer= 5 (1 spare)
Camper= 5 (1 Spare)
car 1=4
car 2=4
car 3=4 (wife 1st car)
truck= 5 (1 spare)
plus 6 mounted 265 and 235 E rated tires that I need to dismount and get rid of
4 tires on Eagle Alloy rims (from my first car) that I need to dismount and get rid of

53. Add the lawn mower is 57.

Then I counted the un-mounted ones. I found at least 10. Need to find the next free tire recycling event...........

I didn't even think about the 2 lawn mowers I have. That's another 8. Plus I forgot the 4 tires on the rolling chassis of my '69 chevy pickup project. That makes 66 and all are mounted.

My car, her car, my trail rig, my tow pig, my trailer, my weekend warrior/spare/sometimes driver kia all with spares.
That's 30. My atv if that counts has 4. Her atv has 4. 38. Plus the 2 full sets of 13s, I have left over from my enduro car. That's 46.

Do my Farm tractors and implements count too?

Plus many numerous mounted tires laying around from vehicles I've scrapped over the years

If I count every tire and wheel combo I have I'd guess 150 plus.

12 step program, first, admit that you have a problem. Then start giving away what you you don't have an immediate need for........

I used to work on my neighbor's cars. Owning this many cars would drive me nuts. 28x5=140 + several extra sets of tires mounted on the factory rims.
