INSANE!!
This really will make me think twice before driving into a random mud hole! But this really seems like a one in a million type accident. Glad to see this guy is doing ok.

Never had one come IN the cab, but the last FOUR times I've been wheeling I've got sticks stuck up in my t-case, linkage, driveshaft, etc underneath my Jeep. They haven't done much I could see besides unhook my linkage & a couple required a hatchet to remove.

WOW !!!!!
On one of my trips this year I got about a 2" hole in my inner fender ( drivers side ) and a nice dent in the fire wall about 1/2" front my ECM. Didn't think anout how lucky I was until seeing those pics. |

Having been a rail buggy guy for years this was always my biggest fear. I pulled my good buddy out of a gully at Coal Creek and in the heat of screaming engines and tire smoke I drug him through a pile of tree tops.
When he finally got my attention and called me back to his car I had driven a 2.0 dia. Maple branch through what I was sure was his chest! Turned out it punctured his Carhartt coat, gashed a 2" long cut in his side and broke 3 ribs. Damn close! |
