Exclamation 3rd Annual Zuk Spook 2008 at Haspin Acres Laurel,In

All Are Welcome!

FYI: That image is TWO different images, the black/white and then the 2nd half. Zook Spook is not giving away any $$$ but the park it's self is doing something as well.

Quote:
this year the annual event will be held at Haspin Acres on Saturday, Oct 25th 2008. TRY AND HAVE A CB RADIO IN YOUR RIG FOR THAT DAY, it will make the rides a lot easier to manage.

staging area for the ride is different this year, the big field up front across from the barns at 11AM. (where they always rope it off for the hairscrambles). All are invited to participate, but the main focus of this event is for Suzuki's and Geos.

3 Groups this year

"Show me the parking lot!"(stockers) 30" tires and under,NO lockers

"Shaken not rolled"(tacklebox thought up that name) 29"-35" tires,1 or 2 lockers

F**K SHEET METAL"36"- whatever tires, lockers, and a complete disregard for body parts
If you are in this group and plan to follow the same lines as the group you will probably be on your side more than once through out the day.

There will be awards for...

Worst stuck/rollover...self explaining

Biggest Balls...for the guy that tries the craziest line

Overall Bad [censored]... for the guy that that makes anything and everything look easy all day

We'll gather around a fire by the shoe tree in the evening or early night. Anyone that thinks they,or their friend has a chance at winning one of these can stand up and tell the story.Once all the stories are heard everyone will vote for winners. Prizes will be given to the winners, but don't expect much, this is an event put together by slackers for slackers

As I just said ,slackers for slackers,if you want to run with a different group feel free ,nobody will be policing you.But if you start getting hung up and it holds the group back be man enough to bow out and find someone you fit in with. And on the other side of that, DON'T LEAVE ANYONE BEHIND!

All Are welcome!
This is the 3rd year that we are having this event, last year about 30-40 Samurai's showed up, and a bunch of "other" 4x4's and we had a good time. This park allows overnight camping for the standard entry fee, and there are no cooler checks... so 50+% drink.. (I don't).

We hope that this year having a few more of the originators of the event able to show up, there maybe a bit more organization. This is a great time of the year to go wheeling because of the cooler temps, and all the leaves will be falling off the trees.

If you find me wheeling down a trail, feel free to talk, or ask for a pull out of a hole.

From mild to semi-challenging tight woods trails. A couple interesting hill climbs ... a fun couple hours .

And some of the nastiest muck in the State of Indiana.

Carwash will chime in about Haspin .... for sure!.... he loves that place..

it is a Geo tracker in the picture.

well haspin has it all mild to wild...750 acres of hills, mud, 2 different mx tracks, drag strip. Most is rutted up or rocky.there is some off camber stuff too. if it is wet you will have some issues getting around with out at least a locker in the rear and a winch.

if you want to see what it looks like see some pics here:

Its the kind thats 45 minutes from my house on back roads, and its free after 11P.M. If it has rained its sloppy but only takes a few hours to turn to a dust bowl. Mostly hill climbs and mud holes. If you don't wash the mud off ASAP after it sits for a few days the paint comes off with it.Nothing there is very challenging,NO rocks worth talking about, and no marked trails, but you can have fun on a day trip. Plus the "Haspinites" are entertaining to look at...

Not worth the trip ! PERIOD ! , The only reason alot of us go there is that it's under an hour from the house and I can run over and do a day run and still get back in time to go out with the wife and have a beer . I hate mud so if it has rained much I stay home with the exception of when the club goes once every couple of years.

Normally I'd say to go and try it to see what you think about Haspin. As everyone tastes are different. In this case, I know first hand what Dink runs on normally and that it's a 5 hr drive for him to come up. I think a better opp would be Harlan or Slade, if you make the trip up. (Though it'd always be great to see you, Dink.)
