Anyone know a Surveyor?

I need to get my lot surveyed. It's located in Monfort Heights/Green Township. If anyone knows of a quality company or person in the area let me know.

thanks
Jon

Surveyer

I use Berding Surveying for all my engineering and surveying for constructing parking lots. He will also survey land. Call Gerry Berding -831-5505. Please let him know that Jamie Lemire with Blue Chip Paving refered him

Be sure to know exactly what kind of survey you need. the kind you get when you refinance your home loan is just to be sure that you are not encroaching on the neighbor and the surveyor may do this from the CAGIS maps.

But, if you are gonna dig in the dirt, you need to know exactly where things are like gas lines and sewers etc. (not just where they are supposed to be) and this type of survey can be expensive. I just saw on a 1/2 acre Kenwood subdivision lot last month that came through at $1400.

They will mark them, and that will save your life, but you still have to know where their utilities easement is so you don't put anything that encroaches the easement. they won't mark the easement, just the actual pipe and cable locations.

They mark it and want you to work around it when it is in my sub grade instead of moving it. The most fun I had was in Fairborn knocking off the taps on the gas line. DP&L would just stuff a rag and duck tape it. It did make grading the street easy since the sub grade was the same grade as the top of the gas main. And yes it was a low pressure gas main.

Yeah, I plan to have the city come out and mark out the electrical and pipes. I plan on doing a pretty serious landscaping job and building a shed, so I just want to make sure I'm on my lot and not my neighbors. Almost 80 year old lot, no one knows the bounderies anymore.

I used Blue Chip paving on a recent project, Quaker Steak and Lube on Colerain.

If that guy isnt available, try Derickson, Chris - Land Consultants
